Prinsu Roof Rack Install.
First remove the manufacture installed Rack.
One thing to note is the cover is very thin plastic. There is a very
narrow gap between the base mount and the cover.
I started with a plastic wedge tool but soon moved to a steel
thinner one. The steel one fit between the base and the cover much
easier. Once the outside end of the cover is popped just push the
cover tword the center of the vehicle and it will pop free.
Then you remove the two 12mm bolts at each corner.
Setup each side of the Prinsu rack very loosly. Install a few cross
members, front, middle and back to help lign it up.
Once the alignment seems good use a punch to
mark where to drill for your plus nuts for the front mounts.
Remove the rack so you can do this.
Use a step bit to get to a 3/8" hole.
Since the provided washers were too large I
added a couple of my own and an old socket to get the spacing right when
getting the plus nut to compress. I tapped it in with a hammer then used
a large set of pliers to hold it from spinning while compressing it.
All done. It fits tight and is ready for the
rack to be mounted.
